At the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), our research centers bring together engineers and computer scientists from business and industry to work jointly with CECS faculty and students in applied research and consultation.

Henry W. Patton Entrepreneurship, Practice and Innovation Center

The mission of HP-EPIC is to be a leader in incorporating engineering practice, design, innovation, and concepts of manufacturing technology at all levels of engineering education, by integrating the teaching environment with the world of practice .

Cybersecurity Center for Education, Research, and Outreach

The Cybersecurity Center for Education, Research, and Outreach (CCERO) was established to integrate university wide existing activities and initiatives in cybersecurity research, education, and outreach.

DTE Power Electronics Laboratory

The DTE Power Electronics Laboratory was developed through a grant of $190,000 from DTE Energy, a matching grant from NSF, and an internal matching grant.

Dearborn Artificial Intelligence Research (DAIR) Center

The Dearborn Artificial Intelligence Research (DAIR) Center was created to  advance research in core AI and its applications and become a hub for promoting large-scale research, in collaboration with AI academics, practitioners, and business leaders.
