New Ann Arbor Parking Update:

Beginning July 1, 2025, the Ann Arbor campus parking system will start using  (a person鈥檚 license plate will be their parking permit) parking permit management system.  Due to this change, physical parking permits (including the Dearborn permits) will no longer be honored in Ann Arbor.  You will still be able to park, but you will now need to purchase a daily or annual permit.

You will be eligible to purchase a daily or annual Ann Arbor campus parking permit.  To do so, please visit  and sign up for an account using the 鈥渢hird party鈥 icon (please note this website will be available starting May 1, with permit purchases valid starting July 1).  Submit your request for an annual or daily permit option and within 1-2 business days, you will receive a response on your request and be able to purchase a permit.  Annual permits vary in price based on color tier (range from $200-$1,000) and daily permits will be $8 per day (these are price estimates as FY26 rates are pending approval).

Please note that with the new license plate recognition system, you will use your Mcard to enter/exit gated parking areas.  You will also need to make certain your license plate faces the drive lane.

If you need to park in Ann Arbor in July or August please send an email to [email protected] so we can address your AA campus parking needs and make sure you are on the eligibility list to purchase a permit.
