Mercedes Miranda, Ph.D., Lecturer of Business Economics and Finance at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Dr. Miranda received her Ph.D. in Financial Economics from The University of New Orleans in 2005. Prior to joining the University of Michigan-Dearborn faculty in 2008, she taught undergraduate and graduate students at Wayne State University.
Research
Dr. Miranda's research interests include agency theory, and payout policy. She has published in refereed journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance and Corporate Ownership, Control Journal and Journal of Insurance Issues.
