Qiang Zhu, professor of computer and information sciences, received $28,000 in additional funding from IBM Canada to continue his work on progressive database queries.
Roger Verhey, director of the Center for Mathematics, received an $18,200 supplement to his Michigan Department of Education grant to provide professional development activities to special education teachers of Algebra 2.
Alan Argento, professor of mechanical engineering, received a $12,000 REU supplement from the National Science Foundation that will enable two undergraduate students to study biocomposite foams which have a variety of industrial and transportation safety applications.
