As a reminder, Canvas Classic Quizzes will no longer be available for 51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn users starting in the Summer 2025 semester (May 2025).  Quizzes imported into new course sites after Winter 2025 will be auto-migrated to the New Quizzes engine.  Instructors are highly encouraged to complete migration ahead of the Summer 2025 semester to allow time to correct any issues that may be encountered in the migration. To those who have already completed this migration or do not use online quizzes, thank you; please disregard this message.

New Quizzes is a modern quizzing system that will replace the current Classic Quizzes system at the end of the Winter 2025 semester.  New Quizzes has been available as an optional feature for a number of years, and is now stable and feature complete.

If you are unsure of which quizzing system you're currently using, look at the icon next to the left of each quiz title on the quizzing page:

Live Training Sessions

The Office of Digital Education will host three New Quizzes training sessions via zoom, which will include information on migration Classic Quizzes and an overview of the New Quizzes system itself.  The three sessions listed below will be identical, the session is being repeated for convenience.

• Friday, February 28 2025 at 1:00pm 
• Tuesday, March 11 2025 at 3:00pm
• Wednesday, March 19 2025 at 10:00am

Canvas Support

If you or your students have any Canvas questions or support needs during regular business hours, it is best to reach out to your unit's Canvas support personnel via email or phone first, then arrange an in-person appointment if necessary.  For help with Canvas technical issues outside of regular business hours or during holiday breaks, 24/7 support from Canvas is also available to 51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn faculty and students via phone or chat.  Information on 24/7 support is available from the Help menu within Canvas.
